New Knucklehead from S&S
Bikes were different sixty years ago. You'd shift with your hand and hit the clutch with your foot. You'd prime and crank and jump to get them started and sometimes they'd even kick you back.
Leaky and squeaky, motorcycles of the 40's and 50's demanded more attention than we would dream of with today's technology, but they're still popular. Why? Because they look so freakin' cool.
A new engine is rolling out in August that captures the allure of Harley's classic Knucklehead with modern engineering and substantially more performance. S&S, the company who designed a new power plant with a nod to the Panhead, is now assembling its performance parts to appease drooling bobber fans as well.
The best part is they bolt right in to any stock Big Twin Harley from 1970-1998 and many others with the right driveline. As their website states, "The alternator-style crankcase allows the use of modern primary, transmission, and clutch components, as well as a dependable electrical system."
If you're a fan of vintage bikes, Choppers or Bobbers, then feast your eyes on the whole line of "Flathead Power" S&S engines.
