Inline 6's Making a Comeback

As the jugs on V-Twin Cruisers keep getting deeper, BMW is moving forward with their new K 1600 GT where displacement is growing sideways. Last Fall we were teased by images of their six cylinder concept bike with a decidedly sportier edge, now it looks like it will be gaining some saddle bags and a moving headlight.
A far cry from the Honda RC166 250cc screamer that contained six jugs, this new beast is looking at 160 brake horse power with 70% of its torque available as low as 1,500 rpm.
BMW's Adaptive Headlight system covers "roll angle compensation in relation to bank angle." Too much technology to explain in one sentence so just go check out the video. The short version is that the light beam stays on the road when your bike leans and turns.
Heated seat and grips will come standard as well as all the juicy on board computer display and suspension control that the brand has become famous for.
Find out why six inline means you can turn this bike up to eleven in this sneak peek.
