The Ultimate Garage Floor
PVC flooring creates a beautiful and durable surface
by Mike Berger
If you’re looking for a durable, easy-to-clean surface for your garage floor that creates a custom high-end look, then you owe it to yourself to check out G-Floor from Better Life Technology. G-Floor is manufactured from heavy-duty polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is available in a variety of colors and patterns. PVC flooring is incredibly easy to install, and easily transforms cracked, dull concrete into a surface that you’ll be proud to park your motorcycle on.
While other types of garage floor coverings are available (such as polypropylene tiles and epoxy coatings), PVC flooring has several unique benefits when compared to these other flooring options. For example, its flexible nature provides greater anti-fatigue properties than snap-together polypropylene tile. Because PVC flooring comes in rolls, the only seam you’ll have on your garage floor is where two rolls meet (as compared to the hundreds of seams you’d have from snap-together systems). And when compared against epoxy coatings, you’ll never have to worry about the product failing and lifting from the concrete surface (as epoxies often do). There’s no mixing of chemicals and you don’t have to wait to drive on it — as soon as you’ve unrolled the material, it’s ready to be driven or walked on. It’s easy to clean, it resists damage from common garage contaminants and it can be easily washed with soap and water.

Sweep the garage floor clear of any dirt or debris and unroll the floor material. Start at the garage door and work your towards the rear. In cool to cold conditions it may take up to 72 hours for the flooring to lay flat. |

Use indoor-outdoor double-sided carpet tape to adhere the edges where two rolls meet. |

Use a broom to push out any trapped air bubbles beneath the flooring material. Use a sharp knife or scissors to trim the material to fit around cabinets or other obstacles. |

If you wish, you can use a spray adhesive that’s rated for rubber and vinyl (such as 3M’s 80 Rubber and Vinyl Adhesive) to adhere the edges of the material to the concrete floor. |
